This well-established venue in Manchester’s Northern Quarter boasts a large and varied selection of club nights and live music events, including Manchester’s longest running club night, Funkademia.

The remit for the install at Mint Lounge was to provide a club sound system that would rival all venues of a similar size in Manchester.

We provided a full Turbosound rig using TQ-445 3-way, 12” speakers and TSW-718 double-18” sub-bass speakers for the main area, which give an almighty bass thump for larger club nights and clear, precise vocals for live events. The NuQ 12 2-way, 12” speakers and B-18 sub-bass unit for the bar area, can be programmed to operate with a delay from the main area speakers for large events or as a stand-alone system for other applications. NuQ 10 speakers and another B-18 are fitted for the smaller back room, where a separate DJ or private events are usually accommodated.

We provided powerful and reliable QSC and MC2 amplifiers and a control system based around a DBX Zone Pro 640 with remote ‘scene’ controllers to access preset functional set-up changes for the whole system, whilst Turbosound LMS-D24 and LMS-D26 units provide specific loudspeaker management.

A pair of EM Acoustic EMS-121 2-way, 12” speakers provide DJ and musician monitoring as well as acting as a useful portable PA if required. Pioneer CDJ2000s and an Allen & Heath Xone 62 DJ mixer complete the high spec’d DJ set-up.

All equipment comes leased with our 7-day-a-week service cover, so if there are ever any problems our engineers are on hand to make sure they keep trading. We also cover any ongoing maintenance so they can run their business without having to deal with the stress of technical issues.
